The teaching methodology focuses on different skill areas of the English language development which are listening, speaking, reading, writing and study. Lessons incorporated classroom teaching, group activities, presentations and games to promote team building. The programme also utilises diagnostic tests, which were conducted at the beginning and end of the programme, as a measure to assess the level of improvement in the various skill areas achieved by each individual participant.

Participants were exuberant and enthusiastic on the final day of the programme. Danial Rabani, aged 16, a participant, commented, “We really enjoyed the Amprop School Holiday English Language Programme. We learned the correct way to use English, and we were also given a chance to practise public speaking and to make presentations in front of our classmates.”

The success of the programme was again affirmed by participant Bryan Phoon, aged 13, who remarked, “The team building games were really fun and it helped us bond better with our new found friends. We look forward to joining the programme again in the future!”
