Amprop sponsors second School Holidays English Programme for staff’s children 

Petaling Jaya, 16 December 2016 – In conjunction with the 2016 year-end school holidays, Amcorp Properties Berhad (“Amprop”) had organized another school holidays English language programme for the benefit of the school-going children of the Group’s employees. The December 2016 programme, the second of its kind, was also named “The Amprop School Holidays English Language Programme”, after the first programme which was held in March 2016. 

The 3-day intensive English language learning session was conducted by accredited English language learning institution, Cambridge English For Life (“CEFL”). 

A simple certificate presentation ceremony, attended by the Programme’s participants and their parents, was held in honour of the participants’ completion of the 3-day programme.

Amprop invested RM15,000 for this Programme which forms part of the Company’s continual education-centric Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) initiative. 

The Programme, held from 14th till 16th December 2016, was conducted at the Company’s own training facility located at Level One, PJ Tower. 

21 children, both primary and secondary going, aged from 7 to 17, attended this English programme.

Classes ran from 9am until 6pm daily throughout the 3 days. Course materials along with 3 meals, comprising of 2 tea breaks and one lunch were also provided to the participants daily, all at the Company’s expense. 

Throughout the Programme, participants were required to engage in active listening, speaking, reading, and writing exercises which entailed group activities, project based assignments as well team-building games to help the participants learn English in a much more fun way.
